    It was Devon and I’s wedding weekend, and Nathalie and Bryan were so amazing accommodating for some hiccups that... wentOn, like all weddings have. We got to enjoy our day and enjoy the cabins and family all in one place. Everything was in walking distance. The golf course was so fun to get a few rounds in. The wedding meal was so delicious, so many guests commented how good it was. We couldn’t have asked for more. ❤️read more

    I'll begin by saying that I really want to give it a good review, so much so that we have tried three times in the past... 12 months. The food is good. The view of the marina is beautiful in all seasons. That's kind of where it ends. The service takes an hour on a slow night and up to 2 hours for a busy evening. Much of the time they don't have a 1/4 to 1/3 of what's on their menu and sometimes the servers dont seem to know until way after you've put your order in. Sometimes the service is okay and other times the poor servers have no idea what is happening or how to provide basic table service (such as setting the plate down in front of the person, opening a bottle of wine,etc). Overall it tries to do well but doesn't take the time to train staff, order a sufficient amount of food for their kitchen and definitely service for getting a meal is very delayed. I hope the owners stop offering all the flashy new things and spend a little time figuring out the basics. Sorry.read more

    My friends and I stayed in the poplar cabin over the weekend and we were pleasantly surprised of how clean and spacious... it is. It is everything you need and more in a cabin get away! The restaurant was very good. Everyone we spoke to was polite and helpful. I will come back again in the summers to come and I would love to go in the winter as well.read more

    We rented a cabin for our family of 4 along with our cat and dog for holidays and to celebrate our friend's 20th... wedding anniversary. Cabin was clean and stocked. Cabin could use a newer portable air conditioner as the hose was slightly connected with tape that didn't stay on well causing more hot air to be blown in the cabin than cold air. The last couple of days the temperature was cooler, so we didn't use the air conditioner. My boys enjoyed golfing while I enjoyed relaxing!!read more

    We had our wedding at the resorton July 16th and could not be happier. Our guests came from all over Canada were so... impressed with the resort. Cabins were well equipped and comfortable. New hotel rooms are beautiful. The owners, Natalie and Brian were so kind and amazing to deal with. Constantly checked in with us upon arrival and continued to do so during our stay. It was super hot during the ceremony, they went above and beyond by bringing out a case of water for the guests and letting me and the girls hang out in the off sale in the AC while waiting to go down the isle. The food was amazing and the service during our dinner was prompt. The golf course was pristine and was a stunning backdrop for photos. I would absolutely recommend the resort to anyone looking to get married. We loved our special day. Thank you so much!read more

    Great view of the lake from the cabin we rented (Tamarack). Perfect size for our family of 8 and could have held a... couple more. All the kitchen amenities that we needed were included. Check-in was simple and the staff SUPER friendly and helpful. Golf course was amazing. Loved the deer that wandered throughout the cabin area and the golf course. Would DEFINITELY visit again.read more

    Great place to go with your family! We had so much fun staying at Candle Lake. The amenities were great, the food and... staff were awesome at the restaurant and we were lucky enough to be there for wing night.     Ate supper at the candle lake golf resort and would be hard to convince to go back. The food was ok at best, the staff... barely smiled, took 10 minutes to get menus and another 10 for water and coffee. 1/6 of our orders was wrong twice in a row, the table wasn’t fully wiped down, the coffee had a strange green tinge to it, coffee grounds in one of the water cups, had to ask for cutlery twice AFTER our food was served, no salt/pepper/basic condiments. As we were leaving, the one brown haired waitress was seen scratching her behind, pretty deeply..on her way to the kitchen… to then serve someone their food. The main guy who seemed to be running the dining room floor was wonderful despite everything. He did his best, took the one meal off the bill, and was friendly/apologetic the entire time. I understand that everyone is busy and understaffed but as someone who also works in a fast paced customer service environment it was pretty disappointing.read more

    Just stayed in one of the recently built hotel rooms overlooking the lake. This was our first winter vacation here... (have been here many times in the summer) and it did not disappoint! We booked one of their winter promotions that included ice fishing and snowshoeing. We also rented a hot tub which made our vacation that much more enjoyable. The staff there are absolutely amazing, accommodated to anything we could ever need. A very special thanks to Lucas, Helen, Brian, Hailey, Taylor and last but not least Mr. “Swayze” (aka Blair).     My husband and I spent a few days with our Son and Daughter in Law in May/21 Stayed in a Cabin Very nice accommodations... . They have a super golf package!!! Course is beautiful!My husband and I stayed Feb 4/5 /22 We went ice fishing and attended the Vintage Snowmobile Races had a wonderful timeBrian and Helen were so kind and helped us out with anything we needed ..The room was very nice and the restaurant is lovely and the food delicious.Staff are very friendly!!     We took our whole family of 10 including children and rented the largest cabin the Tamarak for the July long weekend In... summer. The accommodations were perfect, everyone had plenty of space! We also rented a slip in their marina which was a life saver toting kids back and forth. We also sprung for the hot tub which we used as a cool water pool for the kids which was perfect for those hot summer afternoons. We have nothing but excellent things to say about the staff and the accommodations we will be back every year!read more

    Comfortable cabins that are large dog friendly. Cabins are well stocked with everything you need, and are clean and... well-maintained. Very handy if you have a boat to park in the marina. If not, you’ll have to drive several minutes to get to a beach. Price is a bit high for what you get but there are not a lot of comparable options.read more

    My family rented an Ice Shack. Service was fantastic, the Ice fishing shack was very clean , warm . Perfectly placed as... we caught 4 fish. Such a great day for the whole family. Such a great price. Thank you all you made our day.read more

    We visited Candle Lake & stayed at the Aspen cabins! Awesome accommodations with so many great amenities nearby.Our... only recommendation is to offer outdoor garbage solutions for large bags so they don’t have to be kept inside the cabins.We’ll be back!read more

    We booked one of the newly built 3 bedroom Poplar cabins. Cabin was excellent, well equipped and spacious. The fire pit... tucked into the corner grass area surrounded by trees was a bonus - very private. We also found it very convenient that they have an off-sale in the main building. The golf course itself was beautiful and well kept. I'd recommend this resort and would definitely come back!read more

    We stayed at the Willow cabin and got a hottub which was great! The cabin was cute and just enough space for 2 people!... A few minor things needs to be addressed such as peeling vinyl and dead bugs in the windows. The restaurant was awesome and they even gave us free limes! Definitely coming back.read more

    Loved our time at the Candle Lake Golf Resort! We enjoyed all aspects of this resort, we rented a hot tub and golfed... everyday for our week stay.     I would rate the golf resort as high as I possibly could! For us this time was a bit different because we rented an... Aspen cabin (we usually stay at a yearly site) and it exceeded our expectations! The cabin was big and spacious with great gathering areas for our group! The only thing I would advise is if you are staying at the cabin bring maybe a few kitchen extras, they provide you with the minimum but we found we needed more then 1 frying pan or 1 set of tongs and the knives were okay, they definitely had the basic for the kitchen.I also want to say the improvements they have made,like the volleyball area (which we made sandcastles in), the coffee shop and the extra rentals available was super amazing. They have so much more planned its exciting to see it all change!read more

    Asked for a beef dip without onion or mushroom but it's prepackaged so they wouldn't remove it, instead I got a wrap... and fries, but the fries tasted incredibly like fish. server never came back to check on us or give us refills and forgot my sister's dip, yet was willing to go to the table behind us constantly and refill their drinks and check on food. They didn't discount the meal, and the server did all she could to avoid us.read more

    Candle Lake is a beautiful area. We have now gone two years in a row for their Stay and Play package and have had an... amazing time. The cabins (Spruce and Tamarack) are clean, well equipped and perfect for groups or families. We came up with a group of 12 and had three cabins - perfect!The staff are also super accommodating and just great to deal with in general. The course is also really nice and fun to play. Beer carts came around regularly and you can tell the maintenance staff are actively improving the course year to year. Great place!read more

    Cabin advertised as having air conditioning. Propane was empty and filled last day when we did not need it. Also our... group was camping. Told 3:00 but was moved to 4:30 for check in but never actually got the spot till 6:00. manager not very professional. Also camper smelled like human waste. Was told there was wifi but very poor (really didn’t need wifi but was advertised as such) if you get a spot at a place charging these prices and it’s listed as having services and ends up not having said service I will say this is poor management. I’m sure this place has had good times for others but come on. If you run a business own up to it and run it right. Won’t stay here again. I will add, you impress the group we were in you would of had much more business. But you anger them you won’t get this crowd ever again and others. They talk a lot about how bad it was. Word travels both ways.read more

    Very disappointed with the cleanliness of the townhouse. For the times we live in plus the price you pay these places... should be clean. We found a dried contact on the kitchen floor, the bathroom shower had hair in it, the other bathroom floor I wiped down with a hand towel- to which when finished the hand towel was brown, plus the bbq had not seen a cleaning in months. There were numerous other issues - I am sure you get the point. It was a huge disappointment. When you stay at a ‘resort’ and pay resort like prices I expect better. Our family was just at a different Northern resort location last month and their cabins were superb compared to Candle Lake Resort plus less than half the price!read more

    My husband and I had lunch in the restaurant. Our meals were excellent, the young lady who served us was efficient and... pleasant, COVID protocols are observed. We had a terrific experience and will definitely return. My husband said the BLT was one of the best BLTs he had ever had. I loved my fish and chips, and the peanut butter fudge brownie was excellent!!read more

    Returned for another meal at the Candle Lake Golf Course tonight and once again was very happy with our service. Nathan... was our server and provided us with excellent service.     Great little course. I recommend stopping in for a little game when you are in the candle lake area. The tree line is... quite unforgivable but there are no sand traps to worry about.read more

    We booked the Stay & Play Weekend package. We had a great time, and enjoyed everything the package included. Don who... worked in the Pro Shop was so generous and accommodating to our group. We stayed in the cabins which were located a quick walk from the golf course, which was perfect for what we were looking for. Overall, 10/10 we would recommend!read more

    I dont complain about food but I have to this time. We haven't been feeling good the last couple hours since supper at... the Waterside restaurant. The fries were great as was the service but the fish was terrible. It was overcooked and mostly old hard crusty batter. I regret not asking for a discount.read more

    Booked a largw cabin 9 months in advance for a stagette, owners decided to rent out the cabin privately a month and a... half before the dates booked and didn't tell us until 20 mins before check in. Tried to book us into smaller, separate townhouses. Ended up getting a cabin in Emma and going there for the weekendread more

    Wing Night is a big deal at Candle Lake Golf Resort during the summer months. Be prepared to wait for a table, your... order to be taken, and for the food to be delivered. If you are not a patient person, then this would not be a fun experience for you. Having great company helps to pass the time. The service from the food and beverage servers was excellent.read more

    Mother Nature has blessed this place, but camping isn't up to my expectations. The location of our site is fine, but... the sewer drain is nearly 1 foot above ground level and at the far back of the site! I always carry sewer hose extensions, but, still, our black and grey tanks would not drain. The site needs to be at LEAST 8 inches higher. Garbage bins are so scarce, it took us 3 days to locate the only one at the far end of the compound. Come on, Management, fix this site for the next person. Also, try to provide better trash collection.*********Wow! Two days after my initial review, Maintenance came and fixed the sewer drain. THANK YOU very much.read more
