| Candle Lake Golf Resort News |  Dean Manz joins Candle Lake team
The Candle Lake Golf Resort is pleased to welcome Dean Manz to our team as the Director of Golf. Dean brings 14 years experience in the golf industry and 8 years experience as a member of the Canadian PGA.
Dean's career started in Melfort where he was born and raised. He was as Assistant Professional at the Melfort Golf & Country Club for two years. He then moved on to the Elk Ridge Resort, where he served as the Assistant Professional for one year. Dean then moved on the the Wascana Country Club, in Regina, where he has been the Associate Professional for the past four years.
Dean was named the 2007 Saskatchewan PGA Junior Promoter of the year and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Saskatchewan PGA. Dean is a team player, motivated and very energetic. Dean will be a valuable addition to our team.

The Candle Lake Golf Resort is pleased to partner with junior hockey teams in our Province on a very special promotion. When the home team scores 7 or more goals at each of the participating teams home games everybody in attendance will receive a FREE 18 hole round of golf at the Candle Lake Golf Resort. The resort is a strong supporter of junior hockey in the Province as well as other charities and organizations. The particiapting teams for the 2009 - 2010 season are the:

First SGA Provincial Golf Tournament coming to the Candle Lake Golf Resort!!
The Saskatchewan Golf Association has annouced that the 2010 Provincial Mixed Championships will be held at the resort August 27th - 29th, 2010. This tournament is played in teams of two. Please contact the SGA office to register. The Candle Lake Golf Resort looks forward to hosting this event.
Donation to the Victoria Hospital Foundation
On Friday August 26th, Rick and Linda Rumberger donated $5,000.00. Half of the donation came from the staff at the resort. All golf season long all staff pay $5.00 for golf and this money is kept for a donation to a loca charity. Rick and Linda then match the donation themselves. The money will go to a great cause.
2009 Hole in Ones
Wednesday July 22nd: Melodie Boulet from Prince Albert aced the 6th hole. She was using a 5 iron. Congratulations Melodie!
Saturday August 1st: Rick Black from Regina aced the 8th hole. He was using a 5 iron. Congratulations Rick!
Monday August 31st: Tim McLeod from Moose Jaw aced the 8th hole. He was using a 6 iron. Congratulations Tim!
